Project Overview:
This documentary short explores the dynamic relationship between architecture, light, and community at the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA). The film captures how the museum’s atrium, bathed in natural light, becomes a space for conversation, learning, and artistic exchange. As the camera moves along the ramps, shifting patterns of light and shadow reveal the building’s evolving character throughout the day.
In the second half, an interview with a local skater highlights how MACBA’s architectural design extends beyond its walls, transforming El Raval’s urban landscape. The plaza, embraced by the museum, has become an essential gathering space, where the smooth concrete surfaces serve as both a cultural landmark and a vibrant hub for the city’s skateboarding community.
